Greetings,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Elise Haines, and I am the Admissions Coordinator for the Johnny Mercer Foundation (JMF) Songwriters Project hosted at Belmont University. I am excited to share details about a prestigious, fully funded opportunity for emerging songwriters and to ask for your help in spreading the word with your organization.
The JMF Songwriters Project, taking place June 22–29, 2025, in the heart of Nashville, TN, is a week-long intensive for talented songwriters aged 18–30 from across all musical genres. Participants receive expert guidance from renowned faculty, including Victoria Banks, Stephen Bray, and Craig Carnelia, as they write and collaborate on Music Row.
This program honors the legacy of Johnny Mercer, the legendary lyricist, composer, and performer behind timeless hits such as Moon River and Hooray for Hollywood. His passion for nurturing songwriting excellence is at the heart of the JMF’s mission, and we are incredibly grateful that the Foundation generously covers all expenses for participants, making this opportunity accessible to emerging songwriters from all backgrounds.
